It's not even fall yet, but I've already started hunting for the perfect winter coat. The search can never begin too early, right?

If the above Betty coat from Soïa & Kyo came in pale yellow, it would be mine in a heartbeat. I like that their wool coats have a thicker lining; a much needed essential for braving Canadian winters. But for now, I'll keep on looking.

It should totally come in yellow - what are they thinking?? I hope you find yourself a perfect, warm, structured colourful coat for the winter soon.

That is a lovely coat. I adore the front placket. And you're right, a baby yellow would look totally sweet

It's such a sweet coat! I have my eye on one already but it's too pricey!

that looks nice! reminds me of Paul Smith awhile back. I generally like Soia & Kyo's coats but they are not warm enough for our prairie Winter :( well.. good for Fall though!

Glad to see/hear from you again here :)
If there's anything I can do besides donating blood. pls let me know.. I'm expecting so i cant give blood right now... :)

Love the coat! The gold trim and the buttons make it very cute, but still timeless.

Even though I live in a place that doesn't have a real Winter (just 3 seasons all on one day), I can't help loving coats. There are so many cute and pretty coats that I've had to pass up because I don't want to spend too much for something that I won't get wear very often.

I love buying coats too, but I haven't bought a new one for winter in a few years. I think it's time!

Yeah, I don't think their wool coats will be sufficient for the truly cold winter days here either, but they are thicker then most other wool coats I've seen over the last few years.

And congratulations!! You're donating blood to the wee one growing inside you ;)

I have way too many coats that are not season appropriate for where I live. Our fall & spring is way too short and most of my coats fall under that catergory -- I never get to wear all of them before it's either too hot or I need to dig out my down parka.

Wow! Beautiful coat. I love the overall stiffness to it - and the buttons catch my eye as well. I guess I should do some coat hunting as well...

Yulanda, that is soo true. I never get to wear my Spring or Autumn coats for some reason, it's either too cold or too hot and I hate carrying a coat around so I just end up with a cardigan...=___=.

I adore my Soia & Kyo trench. Warm, too. & they just come up with the best cuts every year--makes me wish I could justify a new coat each winter!

Some times I wish that Singapore's temperature would drop by like 20 degrees so I can wear nice coats like theirs. Such prettiness!

I've been searching for something cape-y to get me through the tran-seasonal period, and I haven't found it yet! This is a very, very nice little coat, though!

I hope all is well...

I just found Soia & Kyo at Winners (on Bloor St). They had grey wool coats with black trim and belted. Very cute, but slightly more casual than this one you've posted here (which is also lovely).
I also grabbed a 1/2 price navy blue winter coat from Theory at Winners today too. Great stuff in there right now!

i've been looking for a green wool coat for the longest time, would you know where i can find one?
