Beppu Edimae, Olympian City 2; West Kowloon, Hong Kong -- beef burger & udon in tomato soup.
Before I left for Hong Kong, I received a request to post food pictures during my trip (you know who you are!). I planned to post pictures as I ate those delicious meals (along with outfit photos), but as some of you are aware, I had internet issues upon arrival. So now I'm doing a mega post dedicated to some of the food I ate overseas. Enjoy!

EXP, Festival Walk; Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong -- asparagus.

EXP, Festival Walk; Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong -- shrimp, mango & grapefruit on soba noodles in vinaigrette and spicy deep fried tofu.

Nathan Congee & Noodle; Jordan, Hong Kong -- assorted beef brisket & tendon in noodle soup.

Yunnan, China -- bendy cranberry popsicle.

Guanfang Hotel Lijiang; Lijiang, China -- fried fish.

Enjoying International Hotel; Kunming, China -- minced meat with spicy sauce on thick vermicelli in soup.

MMMG Café; Seoul, Korea -- apple cinnamon milk tea and scones.

MMMG Café; Seoul, Korea -- scone and hot chocolate.

Rimini; Seoul, Korea -- mushroom salad and spaghetti carbonara.

Onesang; Seoul, Korea -- gamjatang (pork bone soup).

Gulgul; Seoul, Korea -- side dishes.

Gulgul; Seoul, Korea -- a dish we did not mean to order.

Café Somniloquy; Seoul, Korea -- egg salad sandwiches, coffee, and iced caffè latte.

Café Somniloquy; Seoul, Korea -- drinks. // Seoul, Korea -- tofu soup & rice.

Seriously...my head and stomach both gave each other a double-take and then exploded. You just made me even more excited for the trip! I don't know how you took the pictures-I always eat first and then regret forgetting about my camera entirely.

It's a bit of a visual overload, isn't it? I thought about splitting it into two posts but it's way more fun in one :D

That's because I've taken so many food pictures that the people I eat with now ask if I brought my camera with me and if I want a picture of the food before eating!

Yeah, it's a little pricey, but luckily I had the Canadian dollar on my side meaning it didn't cost more then, ie. Gap.

Yum...the first picture reminds me of the Hong Kong-style spaghetti I had when I was a kid, stir-fried with the tomato wedges.
What a great diversity of food and photos. The breakfast at Lijiang is huge. The arrangement of the penultimate picture is my favorite--from tall to small, all the little glassware are so cute.

Aw, thank you! The light in that room was perfect, but it was also very dim so I was very happy when it didn't come out blurry (I shot on film). I don't usually do such wide shots with food but I love that photo.

aagh! my stomach is rumbling already... soup noodles are so delish. And I'm envious of your delicious China popsicles. Totally the land of strange yet intriguingly yummy popsicles- did you ever try the green bean kind? Green and red bean are NOT my favourite foods (thanks to being forced to taste odd Chinese desserts all my life) but in popsicle format they are so mouth-smackingly good.

I'm not a big fan of green & red beans (although I do like red bean drinks with ice cream -- however, I leave all the red beans at the bottom of the cup, hehe!) so I generally stay away from those popsicles. Plus most of the time when I travel I buy popsicles because it's super hot and I'm super thirsty so I look for less creamy (which I generally find those bean ones are) and more water content!
The first time I went to the mainland (2004), we started off paying for $6 RMB popsicles in Beijing and by the time we hit Liuzhou they were $1 RMB. Crazy :)

Oh my. This is making me hungry, such lovely photos. I want to go to Seoul so bad and this only cements the desire.
I'm curious why is it called a coffee sausage? Is that the flavour( and if so how does it taste)or just a name?
Loved this post!

The sausage was infused with coffee. I bought it at some rest stop off the highway. That area in Taiwan is known for growing coffee beans. I could taste a bit of coffee, but otherwise it mostly tasted like a regular sausage.
