Am I ever glad I packed only one necklace with me for my trip! I bought so many while overseas.

The bird & nest necklace (1) was purchased at hello apM in Seoul, a mall that's opened until 5 am (no, we didn't stay that late). The next three (2, 3, 4) are from New Town Mall in Mong Kok. The yellow ball necklace (5) was a present from a friend given to me during my first night in Hong Kong. The bracelet (6) is a souvenir from Dali, where silver production is one of the industries the area is known for.

I'm so excited for you! Although I wish I was going to be there too! :P

i love that bracelet! i think it's nice to pick up jewelry on vacation.

The bracelet is one of my favourite pieces. I need to get it reshaped though! It's no longer circular from all the opening & closing I did.

All lovely buys. Does the pocketwatch necklace work?

greenjeans | 2009-06-09 01:14 AM | Reply

Such cool stuff! And yes, my relatives call me a rice bucket too. They say they like it though, because I eat tons of rice and leave more of the good stuff for them...

I'm headed out to China this August-any recommendations?

Wow, why can I never find jewelry this pretty? I absolutely adore the pocket-watch necklace. It's so intricate!

yulanda replied to Anh | 2009-06-09 08:58 AM | Reply

Yes, it does! That's the best part.

My dad is a rice bucket too. But me, on the other hand, I try to avoid steamed white rice as much as possible!

Anyway, I'd love to give you some recs -- where in China are you headed? And how long are you there for?

yulanda replied to Alice | 2009-06-09 09:09 AM | Reply

At Dongdaemun Stadium Station. I'm not sure which exit, but I always took exit 12 to my hotel and the mall was on the other side of the street.

There's also a "yes apM" near Ewha Womans University, though I'm unsure if it's open as late.

I don't know where to start! Where are you staying and how long are you there for?

hello apM is added to my list of places to visit :)

yulanda replied to eimy | 2009-06-10 05:22 PM | Reply

I can't believe you've never been there?! Funnily enough, prior to researching & booking my trip to Seoul, hello apM was the ONLY thing I knew about the city in terms of what there was to see/do. haha, go figure! I'm always in the know when it comes to shopping!

beautiful :) i too have accumulated quite a bit of jewelry.

Kim | 2009-06-28 12:43 PM | Reply

Oh my gosh, these are so fantastic! I really love the yellow ball, and the second one seems very steampunk to me.

When I went to Thailand I only brought one pair of earrings with me, 'cos I knew I'd go hog wild, too. Pack light so you can bring home more goodies; it's the only way to travel! ;)

yulanda replied to Kim | 2009-06-29 12:26 AM | Reply

Sometimes it's hard to pack light though! I amazed myself this time though because I actually managed to pack light (only half a suitcase was filled).
