I (heart) Stationary
Tuesday, May 26, 2009 6:34 PM

Hurrah, working internet for my laptop! I returned from Yunnan province on the mainland late last night (the plane was delayed for several hours!) to discover my cousin had set up the wireless router. I previously couldn't get the internet to work when I plugged the ethernet cable directly into my laptop -- weird.
Anyway, this is from three weeks ago, but I wanted to show you my first purchase in Hong Kong. You'd think it'd be clothing of some sort, but since I had been suffering from Muji stationary withdrawal in Canada, it was the first place I went to as soon as I left the airport. Aside from a few Muji pens, I also bought some alphabet rubber stamps and various stationary products from a bookstore in my old 'hood when I went to school here (for a semester).
PS. Thank you everyone who has been visiting and commenting despite my lack of presence on the internet. I have over a thousand blog posts waiting for me in my Google Reader. Ack! I also have a ton of photos and purchases to share; I have no idea where to start!

Yunnan province is pretty -- unfortunately I didn't have the time to do it justice with my camera! I'd love to go back someday. Plus the weather there is far better (similar to Canadian weather) then that of Hong Kong right now...makes me wish I was back there for that fact alone!

Me too. Stationary shops are evil, I always buy stuff I don't need which end up sitting on my desk for years and years.

Gosh, I feel your pain. When we got back from Thailand I had like almost 20 gigs of photos and 1000+ Google Reader items, too!

I don't even know how to go about posting them! Darn the internet for not working until now! I had been planning to post a few here & there as I shot them, but now I have the huge task of editing the amount I post way down since there are just simply too many photos.

I love Muji pens - I think I'm a little obsessed I always have to have a few on the go. I love the colours and the flowy inkyness - the ones I use are different to those, but I love all their stationary!
And how was Yunnan - I was there about 5 years ago and it was so beautiful. Can't wait to see your photos! :)

Yunnan is still as beautiful. I didn't have enough time there because there were some things I never got to see (ie. Shilin).

Omg I love Muji. I have a serious problem when it comes to stationary. My friend is out in NYC right now and the only thing I asked him to bring me back were some grid notebooks and pens.

I love Muji. We have one here but none of them beat the ones in HK. I mean they sell food and everything!
