The whole flora and fauna theme is quite dominent in my jewellery collection, so of course I love these Leaf Necklaces from Femm. They are real leaves dipped in 24K gold and are available in five varieties -- cottonwood, forest, Japanese maple, evergreen, and aspen. I can't decide which one I like best.

Anabela tipped me off that the new issue of Lula was available at Presse Internationale, so I hopped on the 506 to Little Italy to buy myself a copy.

Over the last few years I've managed to acquire a mini collection of lip balms and glosses. Despite my incessant need to buy new lip products, I always end up using the same tube of lip balm everyday (currently it's C.O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip Balm Stick seen on the far right). It's going to hurt tossing those barely-used $20 tubes, but they're past expiration.

What are your favourite lip balm and/or lip gloss products? Or do you prefer lipstick?

The last time my hair saw a pair of scissors was August so I was long overdue for a haircut. I decided to try the Aveda Academy thanks to Anabela's post and I left the salon with a great experience.

I wasn't looking for a change or anything drastic so the stylist took off my dead ends, reshaped the bottom (no more annoying "v"), and cut bangs again which won't stay that way for long because I'm lazy with maintenence (they always get grown out).

My hair smelt so good and was so soft that I couldn't stop playing with it all night long. These pictures were taken the day after the cut, before I washed out the flat-ironed straightness.

Two Saturdays ago: a good friend, 750mL of mango milk black tea sans tapioca, and a stack of Hong Kong & Japanese fashion magazines we can't read. We were practically vibrating from the tea and stayed until closing time, which is a rarity these days when eyelids begin to droop before midnight (except mine, if you haven't noticed how late some of my posts are made at).

Because Club Monaco changed their sale policy, I didn't purchase that plaid wool coat. Because I didn't purchased that plaid wool coat, I had money left in my bank account when I walked into Urban Outfitters. And because I had money in my bank account, I was able to buy this Sabina bag that was on sale!

Everything has a way of working out, especially at 70% off.

My brother and I had been working through a list of fish & chips places in and around the city. The latest place we hit up was British Style Fish & Chips on Coxwell. Aside from a mediocre cole slaw, everything else was super tasty and the fish was the best we've had yet. So good! Toronto readers, feel free to leave recommendations!

My coin purse search of 2009 is officially over. I looked at this Club Monaco coin purse several months ago, but wasn't willing to spend nineteen of my hard earned dollars on one. When the coin purse went on sale for $9, I snapped it up. Makes me wish I bought a second one for my TTC tokens.
