Tue 12.30: A Midnight Conversation
Tuesday, December 30, 2008 11:58 PM

A brief conversation at 12:01 AM on December 30th, between my brother and I.
Brother: Happy birthday, geek.
Me: Happy birthday, loser.
Ahh, sibling love. Yes, we share the same birthday, yes, it's today, and yes, I'm barely getting this post in before the day is over!

Dress: Erin Fetherston for Target. Glass heart pendant: self-assembled. Black fleece jacket: Community. Grey ribbed wool leggings: H&M. Black booties: Splendid China Tower.
What was in that box from my parents? Well, you can check it out below.

I've been really spoiled this past week, with Christmas then my birthday. I'm not going to lie -- it feels nice. I also received a purse, a box Ferrero Rocher chocolates, a C.O. Bigelow lip gloss, and some Bath & Body Works products. I'm going to smell nice in the new year :)

Heather grey turtleneck: Old Navy. Black pendant necklace: COS. Black fleece jacket: Community.
a. Not really an outfit post (I wore jeans as my bottom if you must know), but a post to show off my necklace from my necklace twin!
b. I think I maybe should've sized down with the fleece jacket. Darn Aritzia and their final sale on sale items policy!
c. Check out my little interview on The Clothes Horse. I'm completely honoured to be part of her blog's new project and I look forward to reading about the bloggers she features next. Thanks for asking me to play the "would you rather...?" game, TCH!

Christmas Presents!
Sunday, December 28, 2008 6:11 PM

Clothing & Accessories.

Bath Products.

Technolicious Stuff.

Paper & Plastic Goods.
A few things I received from my wonderful family and friends. Aside from the clothing and the gift cards, everything else was in my wishbook.
As for present giving, my dad received a GPS from all of us, my brother & I gave my mom a L'Air du Temps gift set (she likes the bottle and has been dropping hints to my dad for like thirty years), and my brother got a Delay No More (Cantonese speakers will get that) tee shirt from G.O.D. and a photo book called Chinglish (my theme for him this year was skewed Chinese & English).
I'd love to hear about what you gave and received!

Bag Lady
Saturday, December 27, 2008 11:10 PM

1. Botkier Kika Large Satchel (Revolve Clothing).
2. Jenny Yuen Hitchcock (Jenny Yuen).
3. Sabina Flap Front Purse (Urban Outfitters).
Just a few bags I've had opened in my tabs all night.
I'm way behind with outfit posts. I'll probably do one huge post of December outfits in the new year or something. There's a few I want to reshoot, but time and light are not on my side at the moment.

A Wonderful Surprise
Tuesday, December 23, 2008 12:42 PM

Yesterday I opened my mailbox to discover a small package waiting for me that had traveled all the way from Germany. The lovely Miss Fruchtzwerg had sent me a gorgeous necklace from COS! She knows how much I wish to visit this store in person, but since all their locations are in Europe, Fruchtzwerg did the next best thing and sent me a piece of COS. Thank you so much, F -- you are amazing! I can't wait to incorporate this necklace into my wardrobe.

Wishbook 2008
Friday, December 19, 2008 3:06 PM

Ever since I learned to write, my aunt requests that I give her a Christmas & birthday wishlist every November. What began as handwritten lists with an HB pencil on three-hole punched loose leaf paper has gotten more elaborate with each passing year. I think I enjoy the process of assembling the list more then actually finding content for it.
The rest of my family refers to the list as well so I put little things and big things on it so they have the option of chipping in or combining Christmas & birthday presents (five days apart). Aside from the above I also asked for some products from Bath & Body Works, a 2009 Moleskine daily planner, and some nerdy techy things like an 1TB external harddrive. What's on your wishlist this year?
To all the readers in the middle of this crazy snow storm: stay warm and stay safe!

Black heattech turtleneck: Uniqlo. Gold & silver necklace: Forever 21. Grey plaid skirt: H&M. Black merino wool ribbed tights: Jessica (Sears). Black jazz shoes: Dolce Vita.
I wish I bought more from Uniqlo's heattech line that Susie Bubble has been raving about. I only bought a turtleneck at the NY store and it really is warmer then my other turtlenecks. It's like magic and on that day I wore a thinner coat in -4˚C weather then I normally would.

My heart stopped when I saw these. The whole film stills thing can never bore me.

New York In 35mm
Monday, December 08, 2008 4:37 AM

Just a few shots from my trusty 7N, which has been sadly neglected for the past year. I didn't have the time I would have liked to concentrate on taking pictures -- guess that means I'll have to take another trip to the city...

Intern At FASHION
Sunday, December 07, 2008 7:39 PM

Hey Toronto readers (or readers willing to relocate)!
FASHION Magazine is looking for an online intern (just to clarify, this isn't an internship to be done online) who will aide the Online Editor with all things web-content related. A PDF copy of the application details can be downloaded here. According to their website, there are currently opportunities available for a beauty internship and a features internship as well. If you're interested in fashion and / or magazines, you should apply!
Remember the internship I had over the summer? Well, I was their photo intern and it was such a great experience (otherwise I wouldn't dedicate an entire post to encourage others to intern there!). The designers and editors at the magazine are all such talented and fantastic people.
