Sat 08.09: Rainy Day Saturday, August 09, 2008 8:42 PM

Oversized grey tee: H&M. Silver birds necklace: H&M. Reddish brown braided belt: dad's. Yellow jersey skirt: American Apparel. Grey ribbed knee socks: H&M. Flats: Zara.

It's been raining like mad so my plans for the day were partially cancelled. Instead I made new plans, which included dragging a friend to Apt. 909 because I couldn't stop obsessing over the belt I spotted last weekend. Luckily, it was still there and now it's mine. I have a pretty large belt collection despite wearing the same few over and over, but I have to say this is the first and only wood belt I have. The entire trip home, I joked to my friend that I had to buy some Pine Sol for my belt because my humour is equivalent to that of a first grader's.

So pretty. I'm getting new ideas on how to wear my skirt now. And that belt is really a wonderful piece.

Oooh, it's even nicer than I remember. That's a great story. Did your friend like Apt. 909? Wasn't the weather horrendous today. Depressing!

I did a little shopping of my own today, btw. Amazingly, I went back to the H&M at Dufferin Mall and that one remaining jacket was still there, in camel, my size, mushed in with a bunch of other stuff. A staffer somehow remembered it was there?! It really is much nicer than the black one we saw yesterday. Not sure if it's perfect but I did think it would be stupid not to buy it while I think...

Well, considering the friend was one of my stylistically challenged guy friends, I'm not sure he enjoyed Apt. 909 all that much. Though he made a fake attempt at browsing. I also dragged him to I Miss You since we parked on a side street near there. The clutch I loved was gone -- not that I planned to buy it, but I wanted to have another longing look at it.

It sounds like we both had good shopping days since we were able to get the things we spent the past week dreaming about (though more for you because who would've thought the jacket would still be there?!). Anyway, H&M has a nice 30-day return policy while you think away... :)

The belt is just lovely! Very unique, and I bet you'll get heaps of use out of it.

I spent all of Saturday at a bachelorette party. Nothing crazy, just a bunch of women having great time enjoying winetasting and lounging by the pool. Very long drive to and fro, but a great time was had by all.
