Polka dot umbrella: Wing On (Hong Kong). Rain boots: Miss Sixty.

The almost perfect rainy day accessories: a pair of comfortable rain boots, a polka dot umbrella, and a sun that comes out after the rain. These boots were purchased several years ago as emergency footwear. They were the only pair of somewhat reasonably priced rain boots I could find at the time (no Wal-Mart or the like nearby). I still want a pair of yellow rain boots because as most of you know, yellow and I have a not-so-secret love affair. Then my rainy day accessories will be perfect.

i have yellow rain boots! i don't wear them that often though.

im positively surprised that in asia people carry colorful umbrellas when it rains. in europe people tend to use black umbrellas which makes the day even more depressing. in japan i bought transparent umbrella (i always wanted to have such) but then it was too big to carry it back to korea so we left it there. so sad.

Thank you ^_^ Although I just had a look on a different screen and it's a touch more contrasty then I would've liked! I edited it on someone else's computer.

I think black umbrellas are pretty much the norm here as well. A transparent umbrella sounds great! It's a shame you couldn't bring it back with you. I hope you post more Japan photos on your blog.

OMG they're so cute! Fun rainwear definitely makes rainy weather a little less dreary. I love my pair of green rainboots with black roses, and once in a while I hoped for rain so that I can wear them more often.

The arrangement of the shot and the pop of color from the boots--absolutely gorgeous.

Thank you :) I often wish it would rain more so I could wear my rain boots. They're freakishly comfortable, but that's because I put in one of those gel insoles.
