Mother's Day Sunday, May 11, 2008 11:02 PM

In honour of Mother's Day, I thought I'd post these photographs of my mom and her friends looking stylishly fabulous in Hong Kong during the late '60s.

Happy Mother's Day to K-Line and to any mothers who may be reading this!

(I realize Mother's Day is almost over but I was busy spending the day with my mommy instead of my computer.)

Gorgeous! I remember seeing pics of my own mom back in the day in a similar fashion, and I love hearing her stories about wearing those really high wedges and almost falling over.

Gorgeous! Women of that era are so glamourous. I remember seeing and admiring pics of my mom in a similar fashion, and I loved hearing her stories about the things she did to be fashionable (like almost falling over in really, really high wedges). Fashion really does transcend age and time.

Sounds as if you have a good time with your mom! I was spending my whole day as well with my mom. Our moms deserve more love than just one day in the year, right? But I guess it's always good to have one special day to honor all moms of the world.
Say hello from me to your mom :)

Btw, I'm just curious did you get my email in which I was struggling about which brand for Digital SLR?

You are so sweet, Yulanda. Thanks for your mother's day well wishes. My daughter let me dress her up and do her hair and go out for lunch! :-)

I agree. I think the sixties is one of my favourite fashion periods. My mom tells me stories of getting clothes and shoes custom made because it was so cheap back them (and there was a tailor in their building so on her way out she'd drop off a sketch and pick up her new garments a few days later).

Will do. I hope your mom has my bowl of pho ready on the table ;)

Yes I did. I'm really sorry I haven't gotten to replying to it yet. Things have been a bit hectic and busy and I'm distracted by a million and one things. I'll reply soon, I promise.

Sounds like a great Mother's Day -- getting to play dress up with your daughter :)

Oh don't worry, I was just wondering if my email account is working or not. Don't hurry if you're busy with other things, i can understand it :)

Beautiful photos, as usual. Beautiful family and friends.

Great pictures, I love seeing shots of teens from different eras.

Thank you. My grandpa took those photos of my mom and her friends.

Thanks, same here. Although I shudder to think about people looking at photos from my teenage years!
