The Red Candle Thursday, April 10, 2008 6:08 PM

Sheep print blouse: 2% (Hong Kong). Yellow grosgrain ribbon: unknown. Red jumper with matching belt: vintage. Brown ribbed tights: H&M. Fish flats: Argyle Centre (Hong Kong). Blue vinyl bag: Urban Outfitters.

Yesterday I decided to wear one of my favourite outfits from 2006, right down to the very same ribbon and tights. Like back in '06, I wish I had a bigger and floppier ribbon.

Often when an outfit consists of many pieces, I like to change it up and not repeat it head-to-toe even if it's simply wearing a pair of different colour tights. The exception would be those lazy day outfits where it's essentially jeans plus a top and my most comfortable flats.

This is so cute! Do you keep your old pictures and use them for reference like I do? I think the small yellow bow is perfect though :)

Those shoes are like something out of a dream, I really must say you have a great collection of flats, too enviable to say.
This outfit looks the shizz, I like to repeat outfits once in a while especially if its something I enjoyed wearing :)

Oooh, this is like a spooky seance shoot. Love the atmosphere! And where did you get those shoes??

Thanks :) I keep all my old photos, and yes, sometimes I look back to see what I wore and how/if I can improve on it or whatnot.

Thank you. Sometimes I wonder if I don't like repeating outfits is so I'll have new photos to post. haha.

Thanks! I wasn't sure what I was going for in these photos, but I can see the séance thing going on here (maybe I was having one...hmm!). I spotted the candle a week ago when my mom was cleaning out the storage room and wanted to use it (plus I wanted to work more with low light situations).

The shoes were bought in Hong Kong about four years ago. I paid a little over $10 CAD for them. but they're not good for all day walking.

fantastic pictures and your outfit is so great, although it might be older but for me it's timeless. Great! I really like the candle light atmosphere in your pics, very warm vibe.

i like your new haircut. your hair is really long. im growing mine but it is slow process (even though i eat a lot of seaweed).

i think playing with different outfits improves your creativity. not only in clothing but also in composition.

Those shoes are so pretty, actually the entire outfit is so so pretty, from the shoes to the ribbon. And I have to say I am in love with the sheep pattern shirt, it's really too cute for words :)

Thank you. I haven't had hair this long since I was around seventeen. How long is your hair now?

Thanks :) I kept looking at the sheep shirt at the store for months before finally buying it. I was hoping it would go on sale but it never did before I left Hong Kong.

Those fish flats are basically the best things to have graced my eyes in a while. I love them. Sweet pieces and sweeter outfit.
