Coat: First Markham Place. Gray dress: Club Monaco. Double heart belt: H&M. Black opaque tights: H&M. Yellow & gray satin ballet flats: Joe Fresh Style. Sunglasses: H&M.

It was warm and I debuted my new coat. I felt a little overdressed with my 100 denier tights and thought I should've opted for something a little lighter. But they were perfect once I was in the shade and out of the sun. It's so hard dressing for this weather; cold in the mornings and in the shade, hot in the afternoons and in the sun.

The dress in the photos is one that I spent months pining over at Club Monaco. The first time I saw it in stores, it reminded me of a ChloƩ dress that I loved from their F/W 2006 collection (the one Stam took a tumble in while struting down the runway). I couldn't afford it at regular price, so I would go in and sigh over the dress. When it went on sale, my size was no longer available. For months I kept checking, hoping that someone returned one. Finally, in December, I went to a mall I didn't frequent and found two in my colour preference on the rack. Both were in my size. I guess I was meant to get this dress afterall.

Special guest appearance made by my almost 17 year old dog.

again the beloved coat :) I'm 100% sure that it was fate that you get the dress at the end after all the trouble :)

I think so too :) It was one of those clothing items I was meant to have.

I loved that dress too. Gotta be grateful for CM. Don't you feel bereft since Caban died? I wore tights today too and almost sweltered on my walk home. Who could have imagined that it would go from hideous to gorgeous overnight. Oh wait, it's TO :-)

Good ol' TO weather! I think I need to stock up on some knee socks to deal with this huge morning / afternoon temperature fluctuation. The demise of Caban was sad (especially seeing what they put in its place on Queen West), but I was even more sad to see the CM outlets close.

The weather has been fluctuating in my neck of the woods as well. It's been really hot these earlier in the week, and all of a sudden the temperature dropped about 20 degrees. It is really hard to dress for weather like that.

That dress is cute, and with the coat, it's even cuter. The heart belt is certainly versatile.

Thanks -- the belt has been more versatile then expected. That's for sure.
