What Shopping Ban?
Sunday, March 16, 2008 3:18 PM
My self-imposed shopping ban went out the window when I went to the Superstore yesterday, not once but twice (with different people at different locations) to check out Joe Fresh.

I didn't end up purchasing any of my picks from their website. Instead I bought a paper bag waist skirt ($24) and a pair of satin cap ballet flats ($19) that were not featured online. I was tempted to snatch up the flats in every single colour then I remembered I was already breaking my shopping ban.

I can't wait for the snow to melt so I can wear all the new shoes I've been buying lately. Apparently we're supposed to get more snow before the end of the month. Ahhh, enough!!

I love your picks and, since I'm in TO I have no excuse for not having checked out one of the Superstores (except that I live downtown, don't have a car, don't go to Loblaws (generally) and never get to Yonge & St. Clair.) Isn't there one at Queen and John - do you know? BTW, 9West has a great pair of yellow flats - more casual than the ones you've pictured - that I almost bought on the weekend. K

As far as I know, there isn't one at Queen & John. There's a Joe Fresh Style Studio at the Queens Quay Loblaws (@ Lower Jarvis). It's a separate store within the Loblaws complex. It's a little bigger then the St. Clair Forest Hill location.
The best Joe Fresh is at the Newmarket Superstore. It has by far the largest section and selection. But without a car it's pretty hard to get to unless you want to spend three hours on the bus. I've visited too many Superstores & Loblaws to scope out the best Joe Fresh sections :)
Oh, Nine West (swoon)! I've been trying to avoid that store lately because they have some many pairs of pretty shoes that I want!

Very nice choices, the skirt is great, very versatile. I also love your rolling out of bed photo.

Those flats are mighty cute! I've given up on self bans from shopping because I always break them.

Yeah, I should stop making them since I keep breaking them, but I thought maybe this time I would have the willpower to hold out until the end of the month. Guess not!

I've been shopping like crazy lately. More ridiculously than usual. I don't really buy interesting stuff though.. my wardrobe mainly consists of "basic" items. I did buy some cute t-strap shoes from Aldo, though!
I haven't really taken notice of the Joe Fresh line which is funny since I'm in the stores so often. I'll make sure to take a peek next time I'm there, especially since it's quite affordable.

Same here, which is why I tried to impose a shopping ban. Which pair of t-straps? There's a pair I was looking at when I was at Aldo. they come in four colours.

I have that skirt in the darker color! It made it's debut as part of my birthday outfit this past weekend! I love it!
