Velvet Jumper Sunday, March 23, 2008 2:57 AM

Heather gray turtleneck: Old Navy. Velvet jumper dress: Erin Fetherston for Target. Pear watch pendant: Marc by Marc Jacobs. Black ribbed wool tights: Jessica (Sears). Black patent brogues: Aldo.

It appears that I'm not the only gravitating towards blacks and grays lately. Up until maybe two or three years ago, I had almost no black clothing in my closet and now I seem to have amassed quite a bit...

This outfit was worn out to dinner with high school friends earlier this evening. It made me feel a bit bland, but I woke up late from my nap and had about ten minutes to make myself look somewhat presentable on a rather cold night. Perhaps next time I'll try something with pattern underneath, although I'm on the fence about this dress. It makes me look younger then I already look.

:)Although you had only ten minutes time to make yourself ready for your friends, you look great in black and grey although my heart beats for colors ;) is it a sign of getting older to wear only black and grey? I hope not.

Thanks :) I feel like something was missing though even though it looked okay. And I certainly hope it's not a sign of old age by wearing only black and gray! Maybe it's just a phase...and we're subconsciously influencing each other's wardrobe colour schemes with our blogs.

I'm hoping for a phase as well :) I hardly believe that my style taste changes so quickly in just a week. At least I hope so. And you're cetainly right that we're influencing each other by our blogs, I love to look up what you're wearing :) *hugging* time for me to go to bed.

My friend took me shopping at Pacific Mall today! I haven't been there in years, and I most definitely have never bought clothing there. I got some really cute items, specifically some sweater dresses from WaWa. I thought of you! Hehe.

I haven't checked out WaWa since last fall! I'm guessing their winter stuff is on sale? Now I'm tempted to go...especially since I'm sick of all my current winter stuff, but it's not warm enough to bring out the spring stuff yet.

I don't know how much their stuff is regular-priced, but the sweater dresses were mostly 2 for $50, some $35 each. Do you bargain down a lot? I never used to shop there for a variety of reasons, mostly because I didn't think I'd like the style of clothing and also because I was afraid of getting ripped off. I think I'm going to go back for some of the bright camisoles with lacy detail, and some patent peep-toes I really liked. :)

Their stuff isn't usually too pricey at regular price, but the 2 for $50 sounds like sale price to me. Actually, I've noticed a lot of stores have raised their prices, but even new stock will be like 30% off.

I can't haggle so I always drag my mom with me to Pacific Mall. However, if I'm just buying one thing, I only ask for no tax if I pay with cash.
