Nightstandish

Last week I did a shoot for my friend's portfolio. Originally we planned to do an off-figure accessories shoot, but our ideas evolved into props which she also needed for her book. The photographs are a little bland (the photography, not the styling), but I thought I'd post them anyway even though they're not really fashion related.
Stylist: Christine Vieira (Elite)
I love the round lamp in the top right photograph. It's from Ikea. I also really like the red lamp in the bottom left photo.

I like the round lamp too. And the red lamp base.
The pic with the round lamp is my fave. The lamp and the metallic clock are very minimalist and modern, and the earthy tones and tall bamboo contrast so well. It's interesting how the tall bamboo stands replaces the tall lamp that is in the other photos...was that intentional? Either way, well styled and not at all bland.

Thanks. Funny you should point that out. Originally the one with the round lamp didn't have the vase in it. That was the first set-up I shot, but wasn't feeling it and went to do the one in the photo beside it. When I came back to the round lamp I told my friend that though it looked fine in person it was missing something of height to balance the composition for a photo. So I guess it was intentionally put there, but not intentional that it was a vase instead of a lamp.
