I'm loving all kind of drinks with Mango and your "Mango Lychee Freezie" sounds delicious! You want to eat really good pho? You should visit us, my mom makes the best. I know that kids tend to say that about their moms but it's true! And this comes from someone who strangely is not all over pho. I'm a "always hungry" girl as well and I eat so much "junk food" But it's alll so yummy. The Trans-Sibrian Railway sounds great,I imagine that trip to be very impressive. B.Yoshimoto and H. Murakami are my fav authors. Looks like we have much in common...

You hear that knocking on your front door? That's me, looking for my bowl of pho :P
I pretty much love mango anything. The mango lychee freezie I'm obsessed with is from a Malaysian restaurant near my house. However, I had an even better version in Hong Kong because it was made with fresh fruits and it tasted amazzzzing.

Yeah, it's interesting to see what people are interested in outside fashion and style.
I'm looking forward to reading your answers :)

also any Zadie Smith book, i love her books
The Catcher in the rye- by JD Salinger- very short but is a must read classic, if you haven't read it you must
sorry about this, last one i promise, Gem Squash Tokoloshe: by Rachel Zadok- you will be amazed, i know i was, one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Mango is my thing! I love everything with Mango and I have to agree with you, the best drinks are the fresh drinks in Hong Kong. This was so delicious.
Thanks for the tagging, I try to make a nice post this week or after my essay (I didn't forgot your email, I just need time ;)

No worries, I loved the huge amount of suggestions you had for me! I've read Catcher in the Rye, but I think I missed the point because I seem to be one of the few people who didn't love it.
As for Zadie Smith, I have one of her books (The Autograph Man), which I've yet to read. I'll probably start that as my next fiction novel.
I'll have to look up the other two on amazon.ca. Thanks!

Mmm...pho...
I really want to learn to sew too, but first I'll need a sewing machine. Then I'll need time, which I don't have much of as it is.
I'll probably be acting slo-mo after the tag (unpredictable hours is a hallmark of the profession), but I'll get the answers up eventually. I'm gonna have fun with this.

I learned how to sew in a grade ten class and then I forgot all the skills I learned. My mom tried to teach me again, but I could never remember how to thread the sewing machine (much like how I can never remember how to start in knitting). One of these days I'll learn and finally remember!
Anyway, I'll be looking for your answers. I took my sweet time getting my answers up as well.

Also in Toronto, just found your blog via Stylebubble - I read Yoshimoto's N.P. a few days ago and am still trying to decide if I like her writing although I am fascinated by it - it may be the translation, but it always seems to me as though her narrators are weirdly matter-of-fact, considering that they events they describe would normally be melodramatic, not to say downright gothic.

I've only read Kitchen, but that wasn't something I picked up on entirely. The thought of how concise her language was crossed my mind. However, I was more curious about whether the original Japanese version or other translated versions reads the same way the English version does (that goes for other translated books in general)...if that makes sense. I did enjoy Kitchen though.
