When asked who I rank as my favourite modern day fashion photographer, my reply is always Mr. Tim Walker. With a never ending imagination, the British photographer creates images that are beautiful, whimsical, and completely magical. His work never fails to awe me and make my heart pitter patter.

In June 2008, teNeues Publishing is releasing a comprehensive book on Tim Walker's work which will contain 245 colour and black & white photographs. How excited am I? Hopefully some of these images will make an appearance. Next time I see a pair of shoes I like, I'll have to remind myself to save that money for the book instead!

Some of these images have been on my computer for years, but I think credting the scans to Foto Decadent, HT Photography, TFS, and Thomas | Treuhaft should cover it.

It is a great inspiration indeed!
Need to take a look closer at his work when I'm preparing some of my shoots for some good idea's.

Do you only do fashion styling or prop/set as well? If you look on The Fashion Spot, there's a thread on him and there's a ton of large size scans within the thread. Or google "Tim Walker Photographer" and that thread should be somewhere in the top five results (at least for google.ca!).

thanks for recommendation, his work is impressive. I have to do a research about him. Although I'm interested in Photography my knowledge is still lacking.

Like I said in my reply to Leonie, there's a thread on TFS with a ton of his work in it. In that thread, there's a link to a German article about him. If you find it, maybe you can read it and tell me what it says.

I would go look for the actual link, but I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment :P

Walker is probably my favorite current fashion photographer as well. I love the whimsical touches all his photographs seem to have.

His photographs are really amazing, I love his creativity and the way he brings out colour. Each photo is a work of art.
